WAARSCHUWING: NIET NAAR BENEDEN SCROLLEN ALS JE NIET WILT ZIEN HOE MIJN ENKEL ER NU UIT ZIET!!!
This is what it looks like most of the time. Nice and warmly wrapped up. With thanks to British Airways for their super stretch airplane socks.
And this is what it looks like underneath. A nice clean dressing, put on by nurse Moni herself earlier today.
When Suzanne picked me up from hospital yesterday, and saw my foot, she said: "Ohhh, an Easter egg!! You have to put that on your blog!!" Now I have to admit, yesterday it looked much more impressive. More swollen, very magenta red from the disinfectant. And the tattoo of course completed the Easter Egg picture. I was not convinced y'all'd like to see that picture though.
Until I started receiving more requests for photos. . . . . do I have weird friends or what??
So here it is, this is what it looked like a few hours ago. And to be honest I am pleased with how it looks. Swelling down a bit more. Nice and clean. Oh, and the cut does nót touch the ink. It is one of the stitches making it look like that.

Hope you feel better every day!! I am releived and so probably are you that the butterfly is ok!! what a shame it would have been if the cut had upset the tat!Thinking of you for a speedy recovery Moni.
I'm so glad the butterfly was spared and I hope your recovery goes quickly!
Hello there!
My goodness, that ankle of yours looks a lot like my mothers did a couple of years ago after she had a really serious injury.
Speaking of mum, she has been to visit your blog, she's a silver surfer don't you know, she got a laptop last year and now she's visiting blogs and having a grand ole time! She followed a link from my blog to yours (which I hadn't seen!) and she told me all about your injury!
Hope you feel better and better as each day passes, my friend!
Thank you all!
Yes, I am releived the butterfly is ok. Imagine being nearly 50, finally getting a tattoo and than all this........ kinda funny too though in a weird way.
Deb, hope your mother made a full recovery. I am being as good as I can to make sure I will fully recover and hopefully not have this bothering me for the rest of my days!
