Feast of St Francis

Today is the feast of St Francis and once again I am not there to celebrate it with my Franciscan community at home. At first I was feeling kinda bad about it. Until I realised what better way to celebrate today than by doing what I am doing right now?
I am here to visit several imprisoned men, 4 on death row and one a lifer. While here I live a very simple life style. Eat of the land, do laundry by hand which than gets to air dry, and for the rest I just sway in the hammock marveling over God's creatures and creation.
