I am speechless. What I thought was a lame post about an afternoon of fiddling about with some yarn and sticks was a hit. Had lots of comments and several requests for the pattern?!!
Anyway, for as much as there is a pattern, I typed it up, posted it on Ravelry and while I was at it I decided to mail it to this Dutch simple living magazine. They also liked the idea and sent me an email that they may publish it.
Inspired by this success I knitted up some more soapsacks, see below. One with and one without soap. And yes, they already have intended owners.

Day off / Vrije dag
What do I do on my day off people ask me? Well apart from always having errands to run, mail to mail, more yarn shops to investigate etc I try to go out and see something special.
Yesterday my day off started with breakfast at Anna's Bakery.

Than I walked along the Oresund to get to my next destination a Viking Museum. Along the way I saw some sculptures on exhibition there.
And a butterfly so beautiful and sitting so still I had to shake the flower to see if it would move. It did. It was real.

Than I had a nice walk around in the Viking Camp.

And afterwards took the bus into town to ....... yep, run some errands.

Soap sack / Zeepzakje
If those who draw doodle, do knitters knoodle???
Anyway, bored with the bigger projects I am currently working on I was just fiddling around a bit which resulted into a soap sack. When I first learned about soap sacks I was like, what on earth are those?? But now I love mine! The texture lightly exfoiliates your skin and no more slippery bars in the shower. Also, you get to use the soap till the very last sliver.

Wildlife / Wild
I see plenty of wildlife here but rarely do I have my camera near or time to get it out to shoot a picture. This hare patiently waited for me to take his picture though.
Too bad the picture does not really do him justice, the eyes look funny and you can not see how big he is. Anyway, thank you Mr Hare!

Roses everywhere / Overal rozen
Where ever I look, I see lots of roses everywhere. They are much loved here in Skane and obviously do very well here.
So as a souvenir from this trip I bought myself some Swedish clogs, covered in roses!

Swimming school / Zwemschool
Big Sister started swimming lessons this week. When we arrived at the swimming school for the first time I asked where it was. I expected a building, but Baby's Mama pointed to a pile of bags on the beach.
Of course. This is Sweden and the thought of water temperature of 17 degrees C (62 F) may make me shiver but the kids are playfully enticed to start to enjoy splashing around in it!
