Often when I tell people abroad I live in Amsterdam their reaction is "ahhhh", nudge, nudge, wink, wink. And just as often they think I am joking when I say my idea of fun is going to church or knitting socks..........
Maybe this helps debunk the myth that smoking dope is the norm or even legal here?

My husband gets the "I bet you got high ALL the time" comments when he tells people here that he lived in Den Haag and often worked in Amsterdam.
My husband did live within just a few blocks of 7 coffee shops but himself he never EVER smoked pot. He just didn't care to.
And what I learned on my trip to Holland... The pot smokers are the tourists and Artists lol
